is it with some jpeg images ? is it related to extension being jpeg or jpg ?
also multibox overlaying method will not work with latest mobile browsers, maybe we could try to fix
but ... multibox is mootools based and we want to change everything to jQuery

multibox with jmultibox which is jQuery based
if you want to test latest v2.2.x_stable branch
then visit URL, click ZIP/download button and install
in short since multibox is removed in v2.2.1, we will only test with jmultibox

so you mean both jpeg and jpg have issue with multibox ?
you may test (in a copy/test website if you have) with jmultibox
