Assign a Field to only one Type: failed

Hi,

when i will assign a (core)field to one type, not to all, i select the type and click on apply.

After the Site is reload, the field is assign to all types.

You're right, but it's a normal behaviour. All core fields are automaticly affected to every new content types.
In order not to display them on the frontend, just don't check any checkbox in the item view template.
It may require you duplicate and rename the default template.
1. Go to components/com_flexicontent/views/tmpl
2. Copy and rename default.php and default.xml
3. Open younewtemplate.php go to line 21
Find : Replace it by : That's it

Do we have to first duplicate the default template and modify it, and then in the backend create our new type based on this new template for your solution to work?

I had my new type and new template already done, and there is no way I can unassign the categories field to this new type ...

Forget about my question,I just probably did not do it right the first time, now it's working as t should
