Where arethe global setting set?

Actually from my point for view "The Global settings" start at the content type in regards to template parameters for the item view,

but as Emmanuel had said we could have something more "global" to cover all content Types using the particular item template layout as their default template for the item view.

Same for category template layouts

Also note that the "Use global" appears there and could not easily be removed to avoid confusion because we load an xml file that has it in order to display "Use global" in the item edit form ...

Thanks. I need to meet a problem with them to suggest something. I met it before, when I was starting with FC (which was the hardest task). Now this doesn't disturb me. I will update when I have any suggestions/info.
