Emmanuel has not abadoned project, he just have other priorities now, priorities, i cannot discuss.

Then there is enjoyman who as you can see from SVN commits:
www.ohloh.net/p/flexicontent/contributors
is very actively developing the project, and he works in a big web delepment company, whose owner is very focused in joomla 2.5 and FLEXIcontent v2.0,
then there are other less active contributors.

Moving FLEXIcontent to joomla v2.5 is probably be very little work compared to moving FLEXIcontent to from J1.5 to J1.7 !!!
