mod_Flexicontent

Hello,

I am working to get the Flexicontent module working so I can load a featured piece of content on the home page and the auction page. www.sb.artisanwebandprint.com Earlier it wasn't working at all and then I downloaded the new version from 22 hours ago and now the module loads with the search module on the same page. So the problem: no content loads in the module, just the module field titles. I have every parameter set to either show or yes, but none of the items or categories from my Flexicontent section are populating the module. All of these items were imported via FlexImport and they are populating flexicontent properly from what I can see. Any ideas?

You don't mention what you have done with the scope of module.

Maybe you can post an image of the SCOPE configuration part of the module.

Also what you said about field labels is not what i see , i see no label in the URL, it looks like the module is finding no items, most like this is a configuration issue, make sure you put only one limit in scope to start with, e.g. a specific category.

I looked at your screen capture image of the scopes.

-- You needed to select at least --ONE-- include or exclude in any scope.

In your case by looking at the image i am guessing you want to select include for --category-- scope and include for --types-- scope.

-- Also note that if you select more than --ONE-- order, then you will get one group of items for every order in the module. Some content of this POST will go to the faq / documentation. I just need to find time and ... ...

and maybe we need a warning at the module, when it is not configured properly.

Test and post back here. And i will the open an enhancement issue for displaying a warning when module is miss configured.

I have only 1 "Ordering Groups" selected and this is alphabetical.

I have adjusted the scope to include category and types and chosen to exclude current language scope and current item scope. Still no return in the module. I have also cleared my cache.

Layout is default now.

You have 2 settings wrong in your scope configuration:

Wrong Scope: You have set current language filter to exclude !!!
Set it to all to show items regardless of language or set it to include, to show items of current language only.

Wrong Scope: In category scope you have set Include Parent categories, you probably need to set this to Include Children categories

NOTE:
While testing new settings:
-- DISABLE full page caching (aka disable Joomla System cache plugin).

NOTE:
-- The Global configuration setting of cache DOES NOT CONTROL the Joomla System cache plugin !!!, instead it controls caching (while not being obligatory) of components and modules , and function result caching.
