Templating

Hi, I really liked how the Prothemer guys have done their documents using flexicontent, if we wanted to go along that root of customization how would we do that.

Can we create a duplicate of the folder 'default' or 'blog' is com_flexicontent/templates and start from there ?

you duplicate the default folder, naming it with the name of your new template, same name as the new type you have declared, and work on the template to fit your needs
