Template Override for "fieldgroup.php" System Plugin?

Hello

the /tmpl/ folder can be used
- regardless of changing Joomla template
- regardless of displaying field in frontend or in backend items manager listing as custom column

but we would want the Joomla template folder to be usable too
can you tell me the exact path inside Joomla template that you placed the layout file ?

\templates\shaper_helixultimate\html\flexicontent_fields\fieldgroup

I just cloned and renamed the default override to value_spacer.php. Without creating the same file at tmpl, it won't show in the dropdown. I imagine the override value_spacer.php would actually work if it also existed at tmpl, but this is untested.

so you mean this
the file:

/templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/flexicontent_fields/fieldgroup/value_spacer.php

is usable / loadable,
but it is not listed in view layout drop-down unless you also create file:
plugins/flexicontet_fields/fieldgroup/tmpl/value_spacer.php

Tested:

Case 1
\templates\shaper_helixultimate\html\flexicontent_fields\fieldgroup/value_test.php
Result: Dropdown option unavailable

Case 2
\plugins\flexicontent_fields\fieldgroup\tmpl\value_test.php
Result: Dropdown option available

Case 3
\templates\shaper_helixultimate\html\flexicontent_fields\fieldgroup/value_test.php
