Hello,
I'm going to try to write this in english, but since it is quite technical, please forgive me if I'm not that clear...

When I have a look to Page Insight, I find a long list of .css that Google is asking me to load in another way, so they don't prevent the page loading.

Among those css, I find a lot from FC, like :

…flexicontent/assets/css/flexicontent.css
…m_flexicontent/assets/css/flexi_form.css
…icontent/assets/css/flexi_containers.css
…flexicontent/assets/css/flexi_shared.css
…exicontent/assets/css/flexi_frontend.css
…xicontent/librairies/select2/select2.css
…s/com_flexicontent/assets/css/fcvote.css
…ntent_fields/toolbar/toolbar/toolbar.css
etc, etc, etc.

Is there an "easy" way to modify the way Joomla load those script ? May I add something to load them asynchronously ?

I must say that I use a Joomlashine template, and that all the JCHOptimize solutions seem not to work properly with this (somebody a lot more competent than me had a try, and failed, a prominent guy working for the french Joomla association and forum).

Any idea of what I should do without using any extension?

Thanks a LOT for your help.

maybe we need to add a compress mode for css in next release

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

…flexicontent/assets/css/flexicontent.css
…m_flexicontent/assets/css/flexi_form.css
…icontent/assets/css/flexi_containers.css
…flexicontent/assets/css/flexi_shared.css
…exicontent/assets/css/flexi_frontend.css
…xicontent/librairies/select2/select2.css
…s/com_flexicontent/assets/css/fcvote.css
…ntent_fields/toolbar/toolbar/toolbar.css

the above do add to download but are mostly small,

- about JCHOptimize, did you try to enable it only for CSS and not for JS files ?

Here's what I do:

1. Use js-css-control
extensions.joomla.org/extension/js-css-control
This will stop any CSS or JS Loading that you want

2. I have customzied this to remove all FLEXI CSS/JS - however you might not want to use it:
github.com/iamrobert/remove-flexicontent-js-css

3. Enable JCH Optimize

I did it recently on this site:
www.tokenproducts.com/

Cheers,

Robert

Hello

in v3.0.10 we added support for (on-demand) LESS compiling
- both to the CORE and to the templates

flexicontent.css will now contain (inline) all its included files:
/assets/css/flexi_form.css
/assets/css/flexi_containers.css
/assets/css/flexi_shared.css
/assets/css/flexi_frontend.css

So
- less server calls and
- we now have 0 sub-levels of CSS includes, before we had 1 sub-level of CSS includes

About LESS support in templates
it is another thing,
- it is recompiles as needed (almost zero check time)
- and it supports XML parameter to LESS variable, just use:
<field cssprep="less" ...
