Hello, where can I customize the icons used to represent a type of file in the file type field and add more relations between icon and file type for other file types? Haven't find such option in settings, so it's supposedly hard-coded in some file, but I have not found where.

Hello

you mean mime icons:

- in filemanager (backend TAB) / fileselement (=file selection in item form)

OR

- in file display in frontend ?

Frontend display of additional field from content display module. It displays an image /components/com_flexicontent/assets/images/mime-icon-16/unknown.png on unknown file types.

Hello

well

we have parameter for allowed extensions,

i guess we can have a parameter for custom mime like:

you mean something like:

-- parameters
1. Folder with custom icons:
2. Map of mime icons, e.g.
ext1:filename1.png, ext2:filename2.png, ext3filename3.png,

also do you have a free set of mime icons to suggest ?

Not that global actually, I just need to specify a single relation between supposedly unknown mime type and icon.
Details: I have uploaded a .docx file and currently see a unknown.png icon for it in frontend. I need just specify a condition somewhere(for example):
if(mime type = application/msword){icon path=path to custom icon} or something like that.
I would just add more conditions in future if I would need it.

If you want to add it to backend options, it will be nice of course, but for now I need to do it manually.
Mostly I am never use an icon sets, just the ones which included in markup, so know no good iconsets to suggest :(

I can use a javascript for now if you do not want me to modify core files.
