set an items creation date programmatically was created by hede

In the template file category_items.php I need to change the creation date of an item. Is there a method like ->set ? Cheers

FF on Win10, FLEXIcontent version 3.0.10 on Joomla 3.4

what do you want to do ?
changing display date ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I need to change the creation date of an FC item (article) in the database so it gets displayed as the first item in a date ordered list view.

you can change format of date in field administration
after you can select ordering in categorie for front and diplaying by date in backend use global configuration of flexicontent
