oh that sounds great for the future
it'll be more flexible
because i plan to customize the rendering of some fields

i'll make a pause... instead of the 1.5.6
don't want to have all my templates to rebuild

About 1.5.6.

You will not have to change your templates.
The templating system does not change.

The only new important difference with the new version will be that a field will not be available unless you enter it in a position (so that we do create unnecessarily triggering CONTENT plugins on it and everything).

This produces big speed improvements in category listing with many items. (to the item view the performance gain is not measurable)

To make fields available for template customizations like yours, you can put them in a new position 'renderonly' so that they are created but not displayed

And then use ... to output them:
$this->item->fields->display

i have to install the last flexicontent.fields.php
and use the renderonly position and the news in syntax

same protocole for 2.0 ?
