I work on an Business Directoy with included Blog-Areas.
For the Blogcategory i made a copy of the (old and yesterday also of the new) Blog-Category Template.

Target was to have a better control over the shown Text-Excerpt (shorten fulltext) in the category view.
As i understand the statement from emanuel should flexicontent now allow to work with pagebreaks.
So i edit the pagebreak.php
$view != 'article'
replace by
($view != 'article' && $view != 'items')

But i found now way to have a controlled limitation of the Excerpt? And if i look f.e. on the flexicontent Website and on the article list i see here from user defined length of Excerpt and then the statement "Read more"

What was my error?

best regards,
Thomas

hello
to creat your read more did you use categorie limitation word ore insert read more link in your description ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I place in longtext (description) field text with JCE Editor and uses the <system-readmore> function from jce.

But it was equal where i place the readmore, the link was always at the same area (as if i use the category function).

best regards,
Thomas
