This is similar to a task, i have started to create a new gallery field by merging stuff from
-- image field
-- and minigallery
and use VARIOUS joomla gallery plugins to display the pictures (and also make some extensions to file management for supporting folders)

This is very good and cheap, only 15 euros, i will freeze the task to create a new gallery for now and recommend your gallery.

Also Flexicontent v2.0beta4 for J1.6/J1.7 is available, so you can create a version for this too?

Thanks for your feedback, i didn't see that you worked on a project similar.
I tried to make solution very evolutible, you can add new galleries easily...
We really like FLEXIcontent but i don't have a lot of time to work on the main project.
I will work on all our plugin to make them compatible with FLEXIcontent 2.0 when it will be ready in a stable version.
A last thing, i know you work hard for FLEXIcontent, and of course if you want to have an access to our extension platform, all will be free for you. Just give me an email and i will create your account.
