Files not staying Assigned

Hi

I have a very strange problem and was wondering if anyone could help.

We have a field type, of file, being used for users to upload files when they are submitting their articles.

The problem is that everythings works fine and the files are uploaded and assigned to that item. BUT after awhile, the files are no longer assigned to the items! They simply have the statues of "Not assigned"

We have over 200 items (and more still to come) all of which have lost their Assigned files. This is not just a once off event or issue.

If anyone can help, or have come up against this problem, your help would be greatly appreciated. :)

What version you have?

You think you did any relevant code modifications?

If you have a backup of the database when the problem occured:

Goto to phpmyadmin and select this database and execute:

SELECT fi.id FROM jos_flexicontent_fields AS fi WHERE fi.field_type='file'

Then use the displayed number to execute:

SELECT * FROM jos_flexicontent_fields_item_relations AS rel WHERE rel.field_id=NUMBER

SELECT * FROM jos_flexicontent_items_versions AS rel WHERE rel.field_id=NUMBER

How many rows you get?

Also i have sent you a Private message

I saw in your database that maintext field that holds article/item maintext was deleted or updated to have id 20 instead of 1, and the file field now has id 1 instead of 20, i am guessing this be looking at the versioning tables.

I don't think this is a bug of Flexicontent , something has messed with the database and it is not the FC code that did it ...

Did some edited things with phpmyadmin or did someone messed things up by using component DB Replacer???, e.g. selecting wrong field or something.
????

Regards
