Image Field, cant remove Image, Field is greyed [SOLVED]

ok I understand.
But is not this the same as a normal Joomla Articel?
There, one can also remove an image without which it will be deleted immediately.

I have it tested again, the image in another article, I can remove it without deleting it and even after that it appears in the dropdown list.

Can you possibly tell me what I need to change the code so that I can use the Remove button?

My problem is that I'm about 3000 categories and 25000 posts have and it is unfortunate that I delete the images and can not remove them only if no other post are allocated.

Especially since other authors work on the site the have not the picture and the pictures are not on the server and they are not anymore available.

I hope I'm doing now is not too much work :oops:

Yes, i can post you the code, do you want the code for image dropdown select to list all images too? Otherwise it will not list the delete one ...

To make change required quite some studying of the code (after more than 1 hour i was about to give up, too much time ... that i don't have now), try these files (image field):
[attachment=0:1xaotwn6]<!-- ia0 -->image_field.zip<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1xaotwn6]
Edit configuration of field and enable:
List all image files
Always allow image removal

I've tested it and remove now works fine.

But now I can not add new images more ..
If I want to upload a picture of the system crashes with the following error message:

I checked and in the folders:
images/stories/flexicontent/

componenets/flexicontent/uploads

after then the other corresponding files are available.
