Install error 1000 bytes MyISAM / Innodb was created by jeffy

Hello Community
I'm trying to install Flexi in Joomla 5 : the compatibility plugin is enabled but I'm getting the message "JInstaller: :Install: error SQL Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes"

If I'm understanding this correctly, the 1000 bytes is the MyISAM database structure limit to a 1000 bytes, but I've looked into the database, my Joomla 5 installation is already with the Innodb structure, and what is confusing are 3 tables for Flexi that are installed with the MyISAM structure...

flexicontent_cats_item_relations    MyISAM
flexicontent_favourites            MyISAM
flexicontent_mediadatas            MyISAM

Can anyone exlpain please? What can I do?

did you check your database (repair etc)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
