hello
1 you need to explain more what did you want to do
2 you need to complet report error
3 we didn't have licence to for testing
sorry we didn't have cristal ball lol

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

1 you need to explain more what did you want to do

flexicontent is a big extension and we wanted to evaluate it
to check if this could work in our actual worflow based on docman

2 you need to complet report error

some steps of the flexicontact installation / activation where not OK
all docman document pages were unaccessible

3
this post is more a feedback in case you are interested in being compatible with docman.

we are simply docman user
we already have provided staging env with docman for the ones interested by this extension

flexicontent is a very wide extension

we were not sure how to use flexicontent with docman
it was just a very small evaluation

multimapping could be interesting for example.

it is joomlatools docman not edocman

we have not a very precise idea about how to use flexicontent.
so for the moment we have not made a deep debugging.

we may come back to it later on

why did you need docman ? did you test file field ?
if you want to extend it you can create a content type "file" and more information more field etc
you can add file content indexation (pdf and text)
