Hi, I just moved to joomla so all of this is new to me but I'm not a noob (too much :D ) I can not upload files to server because of some illegal file extensions, and i can not install directly - seems that I am not the only one with that problem, so I'm stuck. can I delete the tools folder from .zip file?

Hello

_tools folder is not needed when installing it has a script for developers using GitHub on Windows

you can remove it !

i think to move it to different repository then , because people ZIP the full contents of the GitHub repository
