Compatibility Question

Hi, I'm new to Joomla and the installation process. It is not clear to me that the installer checks for possible conflicts and will abort if there are issues; hence this question.

Joomla Version: 3.X

I have installed the following extensions to Joomla:

JomSocial
Socialize Template
ProfileTypes
JCE (editor)

Is this extension (and associated plug-ins) compatible with the above?

Thanks in advance for your speedy reply.

Warmly,
Amber

Hello

- compatible, meaning the site will not run ?
FLEXIcontent can co-exist with these extensions

- compatible, meaning use data of these extensions,
no FLEXIcontent, does not use date of these extensions
(JCE will work properly inside FLEXIcontent forms)

Thank you for replying so quickly and for appropriately clarifying my question.

Yes, my first concern is to ensure the site will run okay after installing this extension.

I do have a clarifying question regarding your second point.

Great to know that JCE will work properly inside your extension. By indicating that FLEXIcontent does not use data from these--does that mean that I cannot configure properties within your application based on the user profile registered with my site?

Again, thank you in advance!! :)

Warmly,
Amber

And one last thing--I see the latest download for Joomla 3.x is in beta. I'm not terribly keen in installing a beta version of the software. Do you have an idea when you will consider this release stable?

Hello

the "beta" remain in the filename/revision number after testing the revision
v2.1.2 r1806
- so yes you can install v2.1.2 r1806

This is also stable (no new bugs have been reported for it compared to v2.1.2)
v2.1.3 r1841 (RC):
docs.google.com/uc?export=downl ... XJBWEdQbjA

please note that the content page (article view) will be immediately taken over by FLEXIcontent, and you will need to do some configuring to select what is displayed

- You may test software in test site of yours
