[Solved] Fatal errors instead of installation...

Can I use FlexiContent with Joomla 1.6 + 1.7, too? Maybe this is the reason for the error messages...

When I try to install the file »com_flexicontent_154_stable_r558.tar.gz« I get mostly the error message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in \xampp\htdocs\schaubar\libraries\joomla\filesystem\archive\tar.php on line 145

But: There is a new directory administrator\components\com_flexicontent. But in the Joomla!-backend there is no trace of FlexiContent...

What shall I do?

You can't use the 1.5.4 with Joomla 1.6 / 1.7
For J1.6 / 1.7 you have to use this version (béta):
flexicontent.googlecode.com/files/com_fl..._v2.0_beta3_r907.zip


For the error, you can change the max_execution_time in your php.ini
