How I overcame"You didn't create any FLEXIcontent menu item,

Hi every-one.
I am a 1 day old FLEXIcontent user and a newbi (ish) with Joomla, I had the problem of "You didn't create any FLEXIcontent menu item" and couldn't initially overcome it BUT with the help of the forum member 'tidustom'(thanks tidustom) the following is my very-very simple method of dealing with the problem.

When you are in the FLEXIcontent screen select "MENUS' from the top Joomla line (SITE-MENUS-CONTENT etc).
select 'Main Menu'
select 'New'
select 'Flexicontent'
select 'Single Item'
left hand side 'Menu Item Name' give any title/name.
Right Hand side in 'Parameters (Basic) select 'Click to select' (this will bring up a box showing articles)select any article.
Go to 'Article Manager' ensure your selected article is shown as 'published'.

The above is one way I overcame the problem, other more experienced users may be able to show easier method/s.

Now I can explore FLEXIcontent, especially how to create a 'Business Database'

This is an excellent post - thank you for writing it.

It would be really good if these steps were in a readme giving the full installation instructions in the zipped file, or alternatively somewhere else very obvious.

I tried this per your instructions but no articles came up in the "Select an item" pop up. I got an error that read...
