Hello,
What is the criteria for showing an item in leading position?
I have the category configured to show 1 leading item, and 4 intro items. I'd like to know how to define what should be the leading item, and also what should the intro items be.
I tested by marking an item as featured, but it didn't work.
Thanks

it is in blog template
doing it template blog view category or assign it to your category and go to display tab to choose number and columns ..

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hello,
Don't know if I understand.
I'm not talking of defining the number of items or columns, I'm talking about defining what item should be in the leading position. For example, I have 20 items and I want item12 to be in the leading position and item2, item5, item7 in the intro position, the other ones may not appear.

you can't did out of box ...
Maybe a way
- play with custom ordering for exemple create a field with number and ordering by this field

Hello

The leading NN items in category layout of blog template
is not for showing featured item,
- it is for display the first NN items of the listing with more details, more space, etc according to the

- leading items configuration of the layout

after the NN items , the rest of the items of the page and all other pages (page 2, page 3, etc)
will use the "Intro items configuration"

-- To show featured contents, do this
In component or in a category (sub-categories will be effected too)

Items list TAB / Items selection, Pagination TAB
At "Limit / suppress items"
(Limits -before- text-search, filtering, alpha-indexing)
- enable to show only "Featured flagged" items

you will get only the featured items shown
and you will also get a button "show all items"
- thus you can display only featured content until "show all items" button is pressed or until search / filtering form is submited
