Here's a demo for a client of creating a banner on a page.

We have used mod_flexicontent and FLEXI fieldgroup to create it:

I always thought that the matrix is awesome:

So - have been thinking about creating a matrix to allow clients to add content in a similar way. Use visual Editor, add a gallery block, visual editor again.

some more informantion about the issue you opened in github

i cannot replicate it
