Hi
We have installed FLEXIcontent v2.2.0 r1968
We have over 4000 pictures that we wish to bulk upload so that we can then select them from the back end. We have ftp set up also however everything we have tried does not work.
Please provide simple step by step instructions on how we can do this.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Hello

please set your image(/gallery) field

to "folder mode", please read the description of the parameter

-- then inside item form when you click select image, a modal window open that has a button that open a multiple image uploader

-- when image/gallery field is in "folder mode" at the image thumbnail path (set parameter inside image/gallery field's configuration)

the folder of thumbnails is:
PARAMETER_PATH/item_ITEMID_field_FIELDID

the folder of original images is:
PARAMETER_PATH/item_ITEMID_field_FIELDID/original

Sincere apologies however we really dont understand.

We have uploaded all the product pictures using ftp to folder "images/newpics"

How can we view all of these pictures within the product screen in the administration area so that we can select the correct one for each product?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hello

you will have to upload pictures via the previous mentioned way,
from inside the FLEXIcontent item(article) form

NOTE: that image/gallery field, is already modified to have a more parametric path,
so in v2.3.0 there will be more alternatives, including
- selecting images via Joomla image manager
- more "folder" modes e.g. store image in user folder (USER_ID)

there reason that current version is having modes:
- DB-mode (reusable in many items)
- folder mode (item_id + field id)

is because we want to isolate images per user and per item

thus a editor/contributor etc can accesses images of other users or other items
