I have many categories with some intro text. Default joomla search in categories and list them in the results.
Is there any way to make FC list categories in the results?

Hello

you mean the FLEXIcontent search view, right?

1. Go to plugin manager and filter by "Search" type, make sure that "Search - Categories" plugin is enabled,

then make sure that out of the 3 plugins:
- Search - Content search
- Search - Flexiadvsearch, FLEXIcontent search view
- Search - Flexisearch, for Joomla standard search view

only Flexiadvsearch is enabled

2. Goto the FLEXIcontent search MENU item and enable display of "search Areas"

Please note that search view is revised/improved in v2.2.0

if you have issues update to:

FLEXIcontent v2.2.0 r1909 BETA for J2.5/J3.x

Regards

Hello

the links are created by the categories search plugin,

probably the menu item that is selected is you home page menu item

and the menu item is configured to show "page heading" ?

-- also updated above link to r1909 fixing known issues in r1908

thanks again, as it showed "Home", it displays "Subcategories" text at the bottom of the page and if they have subcategories, render the content in a blog format,

in the global configuration -> FlexiContent -> Content Display -> Category View -> Parameters: Sub-categories (1st sub-level), both Sub-categories and Sub-categories list label * are checked on "hide"

i can't find where to change this behavior, there is nothing on the home menu item as in the other case.

thanks in advance for your help

Hello

please clarify this:

you mean after clicking on the category links ??

- these category links display Joomla category view, we have no control over it, and we don't redirect to FLEXIcontent category view, (like we redirect article links)

- you could create a Joomla category menu item (you can place it in FLEXIcontent hidden menu), that points to the parent (or forefather) category of these categories and try customizing it
