Could someone try to explain the usage of this features ?
I don't really understand how it works.

I have some categories view and a search text area but nothing is nether found if I enter the beginning of the title for exemple. But if I enter another word of the title it finds it.

I can't find any tutorial.

v2.0.1 brings search improvements/fixes
-- fixes "second page empty bug"
-- new more attractive results layout with full CSS classes to customize it
-- warns of DB limitation of minimum words (default for MySql DBs is minimum 4 letter words)

Reason for some results not being included are (provided you have rebuild index once are):

- word is less than 4 characters
- word is too common e.g. appears in about half of the articles
- wrong language or article not publish or article has expired

is it a case of the above?

Yes word I tried is small 3 characters.

So I can understand that search is too small but is it possible to have a message in this case "your search text should be more than 3 chars..."

And could you explain too quickly the difference of search and advanced search in FC fields checkboxes

(I know that I ask you lot of things :)

When will you provide FC 2.0.1 ? have you corrected inside my thumb permission or should I manually correct again after dl this new version ?

In FLEXIcontent Search Menu Item, you can select to use either
- basic search index
- advanced search index

basic search index is faster but advanced search index allows 2 things

- You can let user choose to TEXT search only in a single field
- You can display search filters to limit the text search
