JCE link plugin: search not working

Hi, as the title says search is not working inside the JCE link plugin:
- Joomla standard search enabled: working but it finds only com_content
- FlexiContent standard search enabled: just a rotating search weel
- FlexiContent extended search enabled: just a rotating search weel

This mean that a PHP warning or a PHP error is printed that breaks AJAX response thus the wheel rotates forever, i will need to login to see this, i can replicate this locally

First you need to
1. go to the JCE configuration
2. edit the profile default (or others profiles too)
3. in there, edit the configuration plugin "link" and at the bottom make sure you tick the CHECKBOX for using FLEXIcontent standard or Advanced search plugin
4. save the configuration

I guess you have done the above already since you have a non-stopping rotating-wheel (right?)

Then you need the updated plugin (fixed to work in backend too) files from here:
