Indexing for "description" category view field: how to?

I would like to include into the index the "description" field used in category view: is this possible?
I have a site where the category view description text field must be included in search results, but it seems that the current indexing setting does not include it by default.
Any hint is appreciated.

for search view, you will just add
"categories" in the "areas" of the search menu item

then you will get category links mixed with item links in the search view

I've found the way to add a selector to the search view in the menu item, but I would like to force the category inclusion and not showing the selector, is this possible?
