That is what i said, ... if it is never open you will not need to have them closed with or without effect

we can use the newer bootstrap-based sliders of Joomla 3.1+ which do not have this effect

but they do not have state via cookie at all !
They will always appeared in specific state
- either always closed
- or always opened

we will need to add slider state cookie ourselves !

i agree this jumping of page because of the slider is rather problematic
not good UX (user experience)
and we have already noticed it since the option to use slider for filters was added

i have implemented a solution and will include in next release
