White Screen when Clicking the Flexicontent Configuration Button 06-24-2018

I just installed Flexicontent, and the installation seemed to finish okay.

However, when I try to complete the final step of clicking the Configuration Button, I get a blank white screen.  (Please see attached picture.)

What can be causing this?  I am running PHP 7.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 with Joomla 3.8.  Do I need to enable something in my PHP.ini file?  Can someone please help me figure this out?  I can't edit or access any of my Articles now.

please go to Joomla global configuration

and in it
- enable Debug
- set error reporting to maximum

then retry the button

I did what you suggested, then got the following screen.  However, when I click configuration, I got the white screen again.

there is a PHP fatal error
inside or outside flexicontent code

besides debug did you also enable error reporting ?
you may send me a PM with super admin login and i will look at this
