Hi,
i tried to aplicate this documentation :
Password protecting your Joomla administrator folder
Page here
But when i edit an item in frontpage i have the login popup from the .htaccess
it seems like other files are needed in other directories than "administrator/components/com_flexicontent/assets"
i used Admin Tools to protect my administrator directory with htaccess

Hello charlynancy

for exactly this purpose
we have removed all urls that are referencing the backend folder

-- this work was done a couple of years ago

Maybe the backend link of CSS or of JS file or of image file is not added by FLEXIcontent ?
-- if it is added by FLEXIcontent i will remove it

Protect your backend folder and send me a PM
- super user login
- an example of frontend item to edit

Regards

Hi Georgios,

we have removed all urls that are referencing the backend folder

You are right, i test with a fresh install : no more need to change the .htaccess file

on an old site with flexicontent updated i use an old flexicontent template duplicate (items-tabbed)
I suppose that's because of that.
i will investigate about that.

Thank you for your help.

Hello

it is very easy

to find the offending file, and report it here

1. do a view HTML source in your browser
2. search for:

/administrator/

you will find either a CSS or a JS or an image (or other) reference to a backend file
