Flexicontent tags not showing in articles

Hi Flexicontent actually resolved a few issues I was having with Joomla configuration due to poor CSS in a free custom template I am using for the site. For example the template was preventing me from using the article print and email icons. Now I can.

Upon starting a new article and adding tags I noticed that the tags I had added previous to installing Flexicontent have not pulled through to the Flexicontent list of tags. Also when I saved and closed the new article the tags I entered are not showing in the main article or article intro.

Can anyone verify if it is possible that my bad/Poor css custom template is causing this issue ?

Thanks
Jim

Hello

Joomla language associations and intro / full images can be used
(and are stored the same way as Joomla, thus remain usable by other extensions)

- Existing tags of Joomla articles are currently not imported, FLEXIcontent had different tags system since its start
we will transfer our system to Joomla Tags system in v3.1

you cannot use them now inside FLEXIcontent

HI Admin,

Thanks for the fast reply, Im not sure if I was clear and if I understand you fully too. I do understand what you said that Joomla tags do not pull through to Flexicontent that s fine I accept that, its pretty damn good anyway.

However I wasn't clear in saying that when I created a new article post Flexicontent install that the Flexicontect tags were not showing in the Flexicontent created article or intro.
Do you mean that at the moment Flexicontent is not using the tag system at all, at least until V3.1 ??

Hello

of course
- they can be shown
- they can be text-searchable (category and search view)
- they can be used as a filter too (category and search view)

about showing
If you are using Joomla Article view , currently only the "Custom" Fields are added to the view
- so FLEXIcontent tags ("CORE" field) are not append

If you are using FLEXIcontent Item view or category view,
- you need to "Edit Layout" used by the item and add the "Tags" fields into a template (layout) position
