[SOLVED] Search by default shows results from one type, not all

Hello,
I'm setting up a flexicontent search and it kept showing just one result (the Joomla search was retrieving more results) and I couldn't figure out why. Finally I noticed that what the search shows if you don't select a type to search through is the results from the first type instead of all results regardless of type. Please see this (Protostar template to make sure it wasn't the custom template that was causing it)
2041.com/search?q=robert%20swan&p=all&areas []=flexicontent&cc=p
The one result showing is from the type Expedition, if you select a different content type you'll see how different results appear in there.
I think I have the search setup correctly via the menu item. I have the Flexicontent Advanced Search plugin published and all other search and finder plugins unpublished. Flexicontent is upgraded to version 3.0.10-RC2e and Joomla is at 3.4.8
Thanks,
Agata

Hello

before examining this further,
did you make any "type" limitation in the search menu item that is active ?

Hello,
Yes - I limited the search to the types displaying in the select. So the search is performed against several types but not all. At first I had it unrestricted in terms of content types and the behaviour (that is displaying only results from first type, not all) was exactly the same. Also, I looked for some option saying that a particular content type was default but didn't see anything like that.
Thanks,
Agata

Hello

maybe you have enabled "according to type" options:
