I am certain this is my own fault since it was working perfectly last night when I logged off the site. Today I log in and no category pages from the menu links will show. Last night I was investigating the search filters and settings so i think I messed it up somehow but it WAS working like it should. At every change I made I checked the front end and all was well, I think the problem comes from changes after log off? I have read through many forum posts and search but no luck to find similar problem so far, in 7 hrs of reading and troubleshooting! I see some with problem no item page display but mine is no category or subcategory display.

This is on Joomla 3.4.5, with Flexicontent 3.0.9rc2 but I just updated to Flexi 3.0.9-rc6c. The issue is still there.

The issue is when clicking on a menu link of flexi type 'category' the category does not load. It is completely blank and so is the page source file. The view is the same if I use 'preview' in FC category list.

Item view is not affected. If I use the search box and find an item page it loads and it does from 'preview' of item list in FC admin too.

There is one link on the menu created using FC directory view and it loads, but from there no category/subcategory page will load.

I created a new menu link on a new menu and it would not work either, so it has to be in the configuration of categories and menus on something I changed but where I cannot find it :(

An example of category set up like below, and the menu links are to Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 3 etc.:

Main Cat
Subcat 1
Subcat 2
Subcat 3
Subcat 4
Subcat 5

All params on the categories are set to inherit from the Main Cat. I set it that way over a week ago when I first installed FC, however this afternoon on checking them I found some to inherit from Main Cat but others were at global. I distinctly remember setting them all the same so I'm unsure how any would have changed to global. Regardless, it made no difference. I tried it on global too and still the category pages do not display. I have changed them all to reflect inherit from Main Cat, where only the alpha-index tab has some changed settings from global. I've logged in & out between changes too and still no joy.

Error reporting in Joomla turned on showed nothing on the blank page at all, nor does the cpanel error log. Firebug shows nothing either. But when I tried to open one on IE 11, I got one little error message saying internal server 500 error instead of the blank page. That is the only error reference that has shown anywhere.

I hope you can point me in the right direction - this is a very complicated and powerful extension for sure! I will continue reading on the forum & the tutorials.

Hello

please go to Joomla's Global Configuration
then to "Server TAB"
then set error reporting to "Maximum"

then refresh the page, there should be an error message instead of blank page

Oh my, sometimes I don't think straight - I had debug on from the other tab, totally missed the error reporting on another tab, I haven't had to use it in so long. Thank you, it did indeed reveal the problem:

Fatal error: Class 'J2Store' not found in /home/xxx/public_html/j3/plugins/flexicontent_fields/j2store/j2store.php on line 62

I am using J2store Flexicontent plugin with Flexicontent. Line 62 of the file above is a blank line.

The function above it starts at line 50 & ends line 61:

function onDisplayFieldValue(&$field, $item, $values=null, $prop='display')

{
// execute the code only if the field type match the plugin type

if ( !in_array($field->field_type, self::$field_types) ) return;

if ( !defined( 'F0F_INCLUDED' ) ) {

include_once JPATH_LIBRARIES . '/f0f/include.php';

}

I don't know why this would suddenly not work, it was working great and I did not update the J2store Flexicontent plugin and the error started before I updated Flexicontent to 3.0.9rc6c I was sure it was because i messed up the filtering settings.
