Hi,

I have added the following to two category_items templates:
Code:
$filter3_title = $this->params->get('filter3_title',''); $filter3_name = $this->params->get('filter3_name',''); $filter3_num = $this->params->get('filter3_num','');

Code:
<field name="filter3_sep_msg" type="separator" hr="false" default="Filter 3" description="" level="level3" menu="hide" /> <field name="filter3_title" type="text" size="" default="" label="Filter 3 Title" description="Filter Title" /> <field name="filter3_name" type="text" size="" default="" label="Filter 3 Name" description="What is the FLEXIcontent Field name? eg brake_disc" /> <field name="filter3_num" type="text" size="3" default="" label="Filter 3 ID Number" description="What is the FLEXIcontent Field ID number?" />

The problem is its copying the values from Category 1 to Category 2: filter3_num.

If I give it a unique name eg filter3m_title - it stops - I am wondering - why is it leaking?

Hello

what do you mean "copy" ?
how is "Category 1" and "Category 2" related to the templates ?

- are they parent-child ?

please note that the template level parameters are add to the category parameters of all categories that use the template

If I leave the value blank - it will copy from the other category.

Category:
Wheels
-> Road Wheels (Category A - template "wheels")
-> MTB Wheels (Category B - template "mtb")

Hello

If categories are paren- child then yes it will

Parameter heritage does not care if parent category has same template it only care of parameter name

OK - I think I solved it - if I set the inherit to the same as the name of the category - it seems to stop....
