error when adding a file using file field window.parent.qfSelectFile36 is not a function

Hi,

The site is on J3.4.4 and FC 3.0.8.
I've set up some file fields but every time I try to add a file when editing/creating an item, the file does not get selected. The uploader works fine. It just does not insert/select the file and throw the following error:
window.parent.qfSelectFile36

I will add that I have multiple file fields and they all throw the same error, excepted that the last digits are the ID of the field.

The strange thing is that I've tried on a test install and it's working. I've looked at the settings of the field and they are the same.

Does anybody has an idea what can cause this error?

Hello

does it happen in frontend only ? or it happens in frontend too ?

- check for javascript errors during item form loading
1. e.g. in firefox, click "CTRL-SHIFT-K" to open browser's console
2. click to open item form
do you get any JS "errors" ? (not warnings but errors)

hi there,

i get that error, too.

[workaround] @bobthebob01
In the field's config > FIELD TYPE specific configuration > editing > Form field > Input mode: Select "Inline".

[setup]
FC 3.0.8
J 3.4.4

Sorry, I can't test if it happens in FE, right now.. :(

Hello

there must be a JS error, while form loading

the JS error that you see is misleading and it because of the JS error that occured during loading

to answer you,
- please open browser console (e.g. CTRL-SHIFT-K in ),
then click to show only JS errors (e.g. disable CSS warnings and network logging messages)
and then click refresh in the item form and check to see if there is a JS error
