Hello,

My toolbar was working perfectly, until now (but I don't really know since then it is malfunctioning, since I don't test it often...)

I juste tried to share an item (under MS Edge) with the Facebook button in my toolbar, and got this erreor message :
Valeur d’objet non valable: L’objet de l’URL www.rouchenergies.fr/qui-sommes-nous/nous-rejoindre.html de type website n’est pas valide, car la valeur donnée /images/stories/flexicontent/m_offres-d-emploi.jpg pour la propriété og:image:url n’a pas pu être analysée en tant que type url.

Which in english must be something like :
Incorrect object value. The object of the URL www.rouchenergies.fr/qui-sommes-nous/nous-rejoindre.html as website type is incorrect, because the given value /images/stories/flexicontent/m_offres-d-emploi.jpg for the OG:image:url propriety cannot be analyzed as a url type.

I don't understand why the image is trying to be considered as an URL ?!?

Any idea of what I should do about this?

Any help welcome ;)
Thank you.

Regards,
Flo

- og:image needs to be absolute,
- also og:url (=current page url) is needed for image to work properly

both are fixed in v3.0.8-dev:
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/releases

but you will need to clear facebook cache for pages you have already created,
to clear cache of existing pages, use facebook debugger:

developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

Hello

besides using v3.0.8
and
besides using the facebook debug tool to force facebook to refetch the page

please note that
- if you enable Joomla GZIP compression parameter
and the compressed page is larger than ?40K?
then facebook will not fetch more than 40K and sharing preview screen will fail

Hello,

OK, so I updated FC to 3.0.8. It seems the previous og troubles are gone.
But I still got some problems, like:

- as you can see in image enlosed, the facebook 'pop-up' is not displayed properly. The most part of it is disappearing below the text of the item. Any idea of what I should do to fix this?

It looks like there is a z-index: I tried, with firebug, to change it, but it did not change anything.

- og:image According to facebook debugger, the image was too small (must be at least 200x200 px). The og:image was the m_image.jpg version of my images, so I changed this parameter to large miniatures. Now FB is fetching properly the good image ... but still says : "og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that's at least 200x200px and is accessible from Faceboo... "
Strange, isn't it?

Regarding what you said about Gzip compression, I am trying hard to get this compression, but it seems to be completely impossible on my 1and1 server. GTmetrix doesn't like it at all, but I can't change anything about this...

Oh, and finally, I would like to thank you very much, since you are always here to answer my questions, even if I am a true beginner and sometimes asking stupid questions. I do really appreciate.

Have a good Sunday :)

Hello

after changing the image configuration did you also use the facebook debuger to force facebook to refetch the page(s) ?

Yes I did.
And I just did it again (just in case), but it keeps telling me :
og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that's at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ' www.rouchenergies.fr/images/stories/flex...isations-youtube.jpg ' will be used instead

I checked the image url of the image inside the og:image tag, it is accessible, and I checked its size: 400x224 px ...
but FB keeps using another image (at least it is one inside the article, and not one of the "side")
Well, don't get why.

But maybe you should not spend too much time on this part of the problem, since this problem doesn't seem to occur on all pages of the website (again don't get why).

What seems to be more important, at least for me, is the display trouble of the facebook 'tooltip', almost disapearing and making it impossible to use.
