[Seems to work in v3] Basic search index not indexing with more than 30 or so fields

Dear, we have the following issue:

when we add fields, we add these fields to our defined types (22 types, for the moment all fields are available in aal types).
Once we reach the 30 fields the "re-index basic" does not work anymore. Removing a couple of types from the newly added fields solves the issue.

Any clue how we can remedy this behaveour?

out of curiosity I installed the latest beta en then I get the error that the basic index is only cleaned because no indexed fields are defined.

Thanks for your support.

Hello

for performance reasons we try to insert multiple items with single SQL call
e.g. 50 or 100 or more items per SQL call

it can be that MySQL , max_allowed_packet value is reached
-- we have detect code to prevent this from happening by , it was meant for advanced index so , the detection is failing

please add to .htaccess:
max_allowed_packet=10M

and retry does it work ?

Hi,

The parameter has following valude : max_allowed_packet =1073741824
The re-index basic is the one failing. Re-index advanced works.

Strange thing is that we have reached a kind of maximum. We can try to add any field to the categories and afterwards the reindex-basic fails. As long as I stay with the current number of fields assigned to the types, the re-index works smooth and fast. 32 fields are added at this moment to the 22 types. Adding any extra field to the 22 types makes the re-index basic fail.
In total we have 99 fields.

Hello

you provide a web-site with v2.2.0,

i installed v3
- then click "bind" in some non-bound items in items manager
- then indexing worked
(note v3 version allows previewing both search indexes)
