hello

I have uploaded FC to 3.0 BETA6b.

I have got a problem in Universal Content module parameters :
I have no featured articles in the list of articles.
In the UCM in tab 'module' I have 40 in number of items and 20 in number of featured.
In the last version with these parameters I get nothing.

I need to put 0 in number of featured to extract articles.

best regards

Michel

Hello

i cannot replicate this, i 'd like to see/confirm this in your website

please send me a PM with
- admin access
- module itd
- frontend URL that you use to check the module

recent changes to the module are the fixed issue of wrong comment count when item assigned to multiple categories, but that is probably not related to your report

Regards

Hello

explanation:

Adding a space to the featured number of items makes the field "empty"

but default value for empty for parameter "number of feature items" is 1,

thus the code will use 1 featured item

-- in short, yes you need to type an integer inside the parameter

Hello
I think there is another problem.
Prensently in the site I have no featured article.
There 5 articles which are to be extracted with the module.
the parameters in the module are :
Number of articles :40
Number of featured articles :5

In previous FC version I had no problems with these parameters : I got 5 articles extracted.

With the Beta 6 I get nothing.

After tests I have seen the following things :
  • 0 featured articles and 40 articles : I get the 5 articles extracted.
  • 1 featured articles and 40 articles : I get only 4 articles extracted.
  • 2 featured articles and 40 articles : I get only 3 articles extracted.
  • 3 featured articles and 40 articles : I get only 2 articles extracted.
  • 4 featured articles and 40 articles : I get only 1 article extracted.
  • 5 featured articles and 40 articles : I get nothing.

You write in the featured field of the module explanation that the number of regular articles extracted is the difference between the total number of articles (40) and the number of featured articles.

It was working good in the previous FF version (3.0 dev).

I have tested the module with an empty value in the featured articles number : once validated, the value displayed is 1.

Presently, to avoid the problem (as I'm sure there is no featured articles), I have put 0 featured articles, to get all expected articles.

Best regards

Michel

It sounds normal except that feature container is either hidden via CSS or removed from the template
