in local server (MAMP) i put max_input_vars=800000 but i still lost flexicontent permissions
i'll give you a mp when it's ready.

Indeed, on my lproduction site, max_input_vars = 10 000
On my test site, max_input_vars = 400 000
On my local site (MAMP), i tried with 400 000, 800 000 and 1 000 000 ...
And I have the same problem at the same time on both sites.

Today I will try to count the number of variables on the flexicontent permissions

i think the problem maybe because you have a limit of PHP variable post_max_size
- set to 1MB, please change to 8MB
(if you want to limit uploads inside FLEXIcontent, set the component parameter of maximum file size inside, it inside the first TAB of parameters)

- also install v3.0.0 BETA6b, it is now publicly available

- about these variables, please set them to a sensible default like 2500
max_input_vars
suhosin.post.max_vars
suhosin.suhosin.request.max_vars

and post_max_size=15M on my production site ...

I don't know why but after the crash of the flexi permissions, it seems to be ok.
For that, i needed to reorganized my groups, accept the crash and repair permissions ...
With flexi v211, i created 157 groups after a crash on my local site.
When i installed the flexi v3, the permissions crashed, i lose all the permissions. i could created all the permissions after the instalation crash, and it seems to be ok on my local site.
I don't understand.
In few weeks, i'll try this on my production site.
