Can't select an uploaded image or file in frontend

Hi,

We've spent some time looking into this and can't figure it out. Everything else is working perfectly, but for some reason, we can't select a file or image that has been uploaded when editing an article in the frontend. Everything seems normal, we have a field for an image and another for a file upload, when clicked the modal window appears, we can upload a file but then can't select it to use in the article - the link clicks, but doesn't do anything - closing the window leaves us in the editor but with no image/file in the field.

It works fine in the backend (the link has a red line through it and populates the field in the editor) - we can't figure out if it's something we've disabled somehow, or if it's some javascript that isn't loading in the iframe for the file selector.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give, and bigger thanks for a really great component.

Hello

please always mention

FC version and Joomla version

also do you get a JS error ? (open browser console, clear the error and refresh the page once and try to select the image)

Hello

first either use v2.2.1,
www.flexicontent.org/downloads/l ... rsion.html

or for (new website or sites that effected by bugs in v2.2.1 ),
use v3.0 BETA 4c

Thanks for the quick response, very much appreciated!

I'll update to 2.2.1 and let you know if it's resolved - is v3 a rewrite of the component or more of an evolution, I guess I'm asking whether there are likely to be new bugs or is it already quite stable...

Kind regards.

Hi,

Just updated to ver 2.2.1 and the problem is the same - I've looked at the js files that are loaded for the iframe in the frontend and backend (which still works fine) and they seem to be the same. The error from the console is also the same as the one I posted earlier after the update to 2.2.1.

Is there a setting that disables frontend uploads?? I'm logged in as super admin, so I can't imagine it would be a permission problem.

We're using lightly modified versions of the blog template for the articles and I've even tried using the standard layouts to see if that had any effect (I know it shouldn't!!), but it's the same...

If you can't think of anything else, could I PM you login details for you to have a look??

Thanks once again.
