[Fixed] Date Field loses a day with each save

Hello,

I am using Joomla version, 3.3.6. and Flexicontent version 2.2.1 rc (I was using stable 2.2.0 but just upgraded in the hopes it would fix this error)

I have 2 date fields: Date of Birth and Date of Death. Every time I save an article, each date decreases by one day.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

check your field config => you have an option "Use editor's timezone*" and check your joomla config

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Thanks for your reply, Micker.

My dates decreases with each save, so if I save an item 5 times, I lose 5 days. This happens regardless of the "use editor's time zone" setting.

Very strange. I have not edited or hacked anything.

Thanks.

I have tried it with "Use editor's time zone" set to yes and then I tried setting it to no. It does the same thing regardless of the setting.

Upon reflection, I think that the field is "losing" the day when I open the file. If I "save and close" the date isn't lost. If I click "save", the day is lost. I can repeatedly click "save" and watch the date field lose a day with each click.

I have been having a difficult time trying to get the time zone right. My php settings are set to UTC and Joomla is set to Toronto but all my dates are off by 5 hours. I am not sure if that is related.

Thanks.

Hello

If I "save and close" the date isn't lost

I can repeatedly click "save" and watch the date field lose a day with each click.

1. The above 2 may indicate that the browser or some browser extension is modifying the field

2. did you try with other browsers ?

-- you may send me a PM with admin access and some instructions (e.g. the ID of item that shows the issue and which i can edit)
