problems configuring Flexicontent / too complicated

First when I go to my site-
escoffier.com/new
the side does not initially load, you have to refresh the the browser (Chrome, Firefox and Safari) and then it loads.
This happens on some sub pages as well and was not an issue before installing Flexicontent

Second-
I had disabled the display of Created, Modified, Voting, Categories, Created by, Revised by, and Favorites, articles, categories etc on all pages. They were disabled at the Global, category, article and menu level
Now all of a sudden, after installing FlexiContnet these ugly red boxes appear at the top of many of my pages including the homepage showing these items. How do I get rid of them?

Third
I disabled bread crumb navigation to the article on my home page and now even though it is disabled on that page the breadcrumb navigation to the base location of that article it still shows.

Fourth
Although most of the images are working correctly on this page-
escoffier.com/new/component/flex ... 20--sp-430
I'm getting purple box with red letter error messages

Fifth
OMG this is a confusing Component, a lot going on and very minimal to no documentation in English.

I've read that just deleting the Component leads to even more issues so that is out of the question.

Help!!

Luckily I did do a full back up, and the site isn't technically live yet, so I can go back.

Thanks in advance for helping me get to appreciate what many say is one of the best components out there.

George

Thanks for the help, I decided to just restore, way too complicated for my feeble brain, and the time to fix what it broke just doesn't justify all the time.

When the video tutorials come out in english I'll have to take another look at the component since so many find it so excellent.

Cheers,

G

Hello

- in order to give functionality, the content is rendered by FLEXIcontent, so your pages will look different

but then you have to configure the component, it is a generic component that is meant for many different websites, as a result there are numerous options, and indeed it needs some time, especially for newbies, about basic usage there are a couple of old youtube videos, and some newer in non-english language, but basic usage there are a couple of articles in our FAQ

about videos we want to make after we make some UI freeze with v2.2.0

thank you for trying FC and for your feedback

Regards

Why have you installed FlexiContent? Which features do you need or which features are you missing using core Joomla? The point is, if you do not need custom fields or FC templates or FC plugins you do not need FlexiContent. If you need custom fields or other features that FC adds you need FC or Zoo or Sobi or Seblod or... They all have their learning curve.

So my suggestion is, that you tell us want you want to archive or which features you need and somebody here might be able to help or at least tell you if FC is good for you!
