Duplicating article and images thumbnailing issue

I am using specific articles to display images advertisment.
The images are created in the corresponding article directory.
For each adverisment category I create the first article (the first advertisment) and then I duplicate the article changing the title and adding the new image.
I save and close the article.

When checking the advertisment on public side, the image is not found (medium image - erreur 404).

To get the image I need to reopen the article in the back side and the image is found.

It seems like the image is not created when saving the first time the article, but just when reopening it in the back end (I don't ned to save the article).

It's working when just saving and then cancelling or save and close.

The problem just arrives when saving and closing a duplicate article directly.

I have not tested it for an article created manually.

What can I do to get it working at first save ?

Hello

when image field is displayed, then it is detected:
- if image thumbnails exists
- if image thumbnails size is same as in field configuration

displaying the item in frontend should trigger the check

steps to recreate this are ??:
1- duplicate an item which an image field in "folder" mode
2- display item in frontend, and the thumbail is missing ?

please note that copying an item will not copy its pictures, e.g. you are creating an item translation, and you want to share the image folder of the original content item, among all translations

I know that duplicating an article doesn't duplicate the image field(s).

My problem is the following :

I duplicate an article.
On the duplicated one I enter a new image. The thumbnail is displayed on the backend side.

If I click on save : no problem, when I open the article on front end (I use Universal module) the medium image is displayed correctly.

If I click on save/close : the image url is unknown on front end side. I need to go back to back-end and once the article is opened to be modified, I go back to front end the image apears normally, no need to save the article once more.
