Removing and unbinding....

Hello,
got a client, who installed flexi content and bound the existing joomlacontent to it. Then he wouldn't figure out, how to work with flexi content and also found it too complex for what he wanted to achieve and uninstalled the component.
Now his webpage does not show any content anymore. All content is there, and linked to the various menu entries, is being published etc.

So what to do in order for him to get his content back online? Shouldn't flexi content release the content after it is being uninstalled?

Have yahoo_ed and duck_ed around but couldn't find any information about this.

Help is truly appreciated.
Thanks.

you need to relink all content with com_content

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

uninstalling the component removes all FLEXIcontent extra DB tables

but it will not change menu items, e.g. if created FLEXIcontent menu items these cannot longer be used,

thus check what is your home page menu item, and if you have the menus item that you need(client may have changed some menu items to make the FLEXIcontent menu items)

Regards

Hello

-- further more maybe the state of the items was changed to a non-standard one

e.g. FLEXIcontent uses state -5 = In progress::Published

try hitting an article by directly writting its URL

index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=541

is the content "found" (unfortunately com_content will not tell you why a content was not found (publication expired, article unpulished, category unpublished, etc)

try massively changin state in the Joomla article manager to published

Regards

So you basically say, that client has to open each and every menu item and select the approbiate content again in order to get back their content on the joomla website?

I went into the backend, opend a menuitem, reselected that article saved it, cleared all caches and....

still nothing there.
Could you please elaborate a little more; can't find anything on behalf of that within your faq's nor with google.

Client didn't create new menu items, just clicked on "bind" after installation, and now wants to "unbind". No flexi content menu available anymore, no component no module or plugin but there are still database tables, which are called:
flexicontent_download_coupons and flexicontent_download_history, so i assume, that not all of them had been removed by uninstall.

So is there a batch option to relink?
Best

Thank you

best
PS everything is linked like this:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9
and which language i select, which menuoption i try, noting there, not even the contact page.
