Help on plugin triggering in category view.

I need help about a plugin triggering: I have a textfield used to load a module, and it works correctly in item view but not in category view.
Maybe I'm missing something?
The field is exactly the same, assigned both to item view and category view of the same template. Inside an item page the plugin is correctly processed, but loading the same field in category view doesn't show the same expected result.

The plugin is the one that makes the peel effect on the bottom right corner of the book cover image in my website, and it can be seen 'at work' here:
www.mmcedizioni.it/it/catalogo-libri/cat...bini/arcobaleni.html

But loading the same field on the related category view page it doesn't work, as it can be seen here (look at the image loaded from the same item, the ARCOBALENI book cover):
www.mmcedizioni.it/it/catalogo-libri/cat...iva-per-bambini.html

If I load the same module in any other position on this last page it obviously works correctly, so the problem is inside the specific content field triggering.

Is there a way to find what's going wrong?
I'm using:
Joomla 2.5.19 - FC 2.1.2 r1806 beta

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me :)
Best Regards

p.s. I forgot to mention I'm using custom FC template, but I can't recognize where I eventually made an error there, if template is the right place where to look for the solution...

Hello

instead better use:
v2.1.3 r1857

about triggering a content plugin in category

the content plugins can have different behaviour
- in item (article) view and
- in category view

while you are in item view the $content given to the plugins is:
$context = 'com_content.article';

and in category view is:
$context = 'com_content.category';

so the plugin can choose to behave differently
according to the context, this was introduced by J1.6+

ask author or if need go and modify the plugin code so that it does not check $context ... search for 'com_content.article' and for 'com_content.category' inside your content plugin

Regards

Simply GREAT!
Found that the used plugin was intentionally excluding the com_content.category behaviour, and simply changing the plugin I have solved it.
And now, if someone still needs to hear this, I confirm this is definitively the best team ever seen in Joomla forest :)
Regarding the v2.1.3 r1857 question, I don't use SVN, so I'm waiting for your next official build...
Thank you again for your job, and your efforts to keep us happy!
Have a nice w.e.

Yes, I'm aware of this opportunity... but I already made it once in the past (look for user TOOLWARE), and JED rules void me to reply it again. :roll:
