Hi I created a new sub cat under a maincat.
I managed to see it in frontend submission form.

I then added another cat under this main cat.

Now i cant see the second category.

I have followed exactly the same procedure as the previous caregory.

I have no idea whats happening now.

Thank you.

Hello

-- make sure that category override is not enabled in the submit menu item that you are using, this way the category's ACL ('create' privilege will be used) for deciding which categories to show in the frontend item form,

(of course your frontend current user must belong to a user group that has 'create' privilege in the new category)

-- also try clearing cache (this is not need by anyway try it)

Hi there,

THank you for your reply

I have checked the category/acl tab in the submit form menu link, it is disabled. And the frontend user is the super admin account and it has the create permissions.

I have also cleared my cache and tried again and it just doesnt wana show the categories :)

Hello

I cleaned cached and save the submit menu item once

then i tested on the URL that you provided and they appear normally

-- also to super admin unpublished / trashed categories appear grayed out (has view-all-cats privilege)

(e.g. you have created 'Wellness Solutions' category twice and the second one is trashed)

Regards

Hi there,

I actually started a new site from scratch. The website I have given you doesnt have nay relevance.

It was on php 5.3 so I wanted to set it up on 5.5.

I just cleared the joomla cache.. It had com_flexicontent cats cache there. And now I can see the categories.... Silly me.

Thank you for your help.
