1. I used a new clean joomla 2.5 installation to test flexicontent before installing and using it with my live site. Articles were bound successfully to flexicontent and i could see the list of articles in flexicontent backend. However, i deleted all types (actually, only "Article" type was there since it was a fresh install) and now i lost all my articles from the item list. I tried to re-create a new "Article" type, but i have no idea how to manually bind the items again with flexicontent... Any help would be appreciated.

2. Another issue: in the backend, when i try to create a new item, i get a dialog asking what type of item i want to create. Is there any way to get rid of that and directly chose article type? since all items i'm going to create are going to be articles only.

Thanks in advance for your time...

P.S.: i tried to look for an answer before asking here, with no luck

Hello

-- there several ways to fix this
e.g. latest beta will show items even bound to a non-existing type,
(you can install 2.1.2 beta r1806)

-- but in your case you since your installation is fresh, you can install FLEXIcontent which will delete all FLEXIcontent DB tables, and then reinstall it

NOTE: you don't need to delete article content type if you do not have "articles", just rename it,

question: how did you delete content type article, normally system will not allow you to delete a content type that has articles, you delete it before binding items? and you had no content types when you visit items manager ?

Regards

yeah, i did it before binding them. Uninstalling/re-installing fixed it of course (as you suggested). Also tried to delete all types (just for testing it out) after binding all articles, and as you said, type article cannot be deleted because there are items associated with it.

Thanks for the fast reply...

About my second question, is there any way to get rid of the dialog asking which type of item i want to create, and go to article type automatically? Since all items that i'm going to add are articles, so no need to ask item type everytime...

Again, thanks in advance (ευχαριστώ)
