Flexicontent / Joomla 2.5 language switch

Hi, I have a multilingual page with flexicontent. The language switch for translation groups doesn't route the items properly:

If I am on /en/home/news and klick an item, the URL is /en/home/news/item/642-my-item-name, which is correct. As soon as I switch to german, the menu item is missing in the URL: /de/item/640-my-item-german name.

If I then switch back or to another language, I end up on the home page.

Is there anything I can configure to get this running?
Thanks in advance,
Terry

Do you have a link to the homepage?
Have you created a German menu item "news", and if, have you associated the menu items with each other?

Thanks for the links, I have used solution 2 (joomla core solution for multilingual sites). The page structure follows the rules of your language problem solving. The only thin I didn't do was having categories for each language. There is one news category which is filtered by language.

It all works fine apart from the language switch between flexicontent items. As the page was updated from Joomla 1.5, I have disabled the flexicontent language switch now (the functionality is now the same as it was in Joomla 1.5).

But I would like to solve this and take advantage of the nice feature, but I will retry after an upgrade...

Hello

it is not working despite your menu items being marked as language "ALL" ?
