Hello

I'm on J3.1.5 and FC V1787

I had a problem with Universal module (no extract). I have corrected with the patch you sent today.

I have 2 other problems with this module :

With carousel : the iamges are only vertically (impossible to get horizontal)

The hyperlink is not good. I got also the hyperlink problem in relation reverse relation field.

For instance :

the true link is :
index.php/fr/11-albums/47-exposition

the generated link is :
index.php/fr/site_content/11-albums/47-exposition

How can I get the true link ?

You can get an exemple at this address :

art.bibliactiv.com

thank you for help

best regards

Michel

Hello

about, carousel template of the module, styling depends on

-1- the configurations settings, width and height you have set
-- please check this

-2- other CSS files loaded in your page effected the display,
-- we tried to avoid this but this is not possible to in all case due to the nature of CSS to have higher and lower priorities and heritage that make it complex and powerful, but also require a web knowledge
-- ask your web integrator to fix

about "site_content" in SEF URL
-- you need a menu item of pointing to FLEXIcontent component and the menu ALIAS of it is "site_content"

(this applies TO ALL components, K2 cck, virtuemart, com_content, etc, etc)

so these are used HIGH to LOW
1. menu item pointing CONTENT ITEM itself
2. menu item pointing to current category or main category or any category of the content ITEM
3. "the default" menu item for FLEXIcontent which is usually the "site_content" menu item in FLEXIcontent hidden menu
(i suggest that you change alias "site_content" to something that you like better)

-- finally you could use a SEF component that adds more control in regards with creation of URLs, these do not require a menu item alias in the SEF urls
(but for large sites do not enable SEF urls that use the a DB mapping ...)

about "site_content" in SEF URL
-- you need a menu item of pointing to FLEXIcontent component and the menu ALIAS of it is "site_content"

I have done some checks :
- I have the hidden flexicontent menu with the 'site_content' record.

If I add a record to point to a unique article : the page is displayed correctly.

If I add a record to point to all existing categories : I get the error.

I have checked the SEO parameters in Joomla configuration :
[attachment=0:2oa3s18o]<!-- ia0 -->pb_SEO.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2oa3s18o]

I think I have a configuration parameter problem :

the url given by related/reverse related seems correct
as exemple :
art.bibliactiv.com/index.php/fr/ ... ion-hooper

but it's wrong. To display the page I need to suppress /site_content in the url address and to use :
art.bibliactiv.com/index.php/fr/ ... ion-hooper

I don't understand why I need to suppress this parameter.

How can I correct it ?

best regards

Michel

Hello

please , please read my answer carefully, i have explained everything in details

-- you need at least 1 menu item in the SEF URL, this is a Joomla requirement, IT APPIES to SEF links of any component (you must have at least 1 MENU ITEM ALIAS after you domain)

-- so suppressing it is not possible,

but you can replace it e.g. you can create 1 menu item per category (these menu items can be inside a menu that is active but you have created any menu module to show it)

so you can have something like:
http : //art.bibliactiv.com/index.php/fr/albums/23-exposition-hooper

notice the "albums", this will be the ALIAS of a MENU ITEM that point to the category Albums

thank you

I have replaced in the hidden fleximenu the alias of the site content record (site_content replaced by albums). Now it's working for articles in all categories (oeuvres, artistes, albums, galeries).

After I have replaced the alias albums by oeuvres. It's also working for all articles from all categories.

I understand that the alias of the Flexicontent hidden menu is to be one of the category name (maybe I'm wrong).

best regards

Hello

this FAQ article:
Structure of FLEXIcontent SEF URLs

explain why and how the (FLEXIcontent) SEF URL are created

please take time to read it, it will be useful

(PS: please install v2.1.1 r1789 (not latest official version), but it has bugfixes for J3.1, also fixes universal module being empty)
code.google.com/p/flexicontent/downloads/list

NOTE: you need jQueryEasy plugin in J3.1 because loading of jQuery autocomplete by FLEXIcontent is broken
